Financial Controller for LEO Innovation Lab


Provide financial control in venture companies and ensure financial overview of the portfolio.

In LEO Ventures/LEO innovation Lab, we are looking for a Financial Controller to help us with budgets and reporting on the two newly established venture companies.

Our office is located in the center of Copenhagen, where you will join a support team of highly engaged colleagues with a broad range of competencies within Communications, Legal, Operations, and Office Management.


The job

As our Financial Controller, you will be the sparring partner for our newly established venture companies where you become their single point of contact, and where you must handle their finance function, including:

  • Financial controlling and monthly reports
  • Budgeting in collaboration with the venture companies
  • Annual reporting
  • Liquidity management
  • Reporting to management, board of directors, bank, external auditors, etc.
  • Supplier and contract management
  • Ad hoc assignments and analysis

You will be working in e-conomic, integrated with a range of digital administrational tools, to make transactions as smooth as possible. Another key tool will be Excel where you will be providing financial reports and analyses to the management of the venture companies.


Your qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business administration, economics or similar
  • +5 years of experience in the field of finance/controlling/auditing
  • Strong Excel and data analytics skills
  • Preferably experience with IT transformation and transition
  • Good communication skills both in Danish and English

In addition, as the ideal candidate, you should possess strong analytical skills, exceptional problem-solving skills, and be highly organized. It is also important that you have excellent interpersonal skills and master flexibility to change priorities as new situations present themselves. Your workstyle should be flexible, and it is important that you are able to work on several tasks simultaneously while keeping a positive attitude.

You work independently and thrive with tasks sometimes also being very operational. You are good at problem solving and ambitious about your work.
